The top 10 highest paying jobs and best financially rewarding career in South Africa was collated and concluded from a research done by CareerJunction. It is very much likely that the same trend will continue from 2017 to 2018 by over 91%.
Data and statistics revealed that these companies and jobs emanated from the 10 major pillars of the South African economy and as such, it is competitive getting job in those sectors, considering even the unemployment rate that currently stands at 26.6% ( 2016 data estimate).
Based on the data and research done, it was revealed that the Engineering sector pays the highest chunk of salary. This is not surprising because the profession is one of the oldest and most respected professions in the world. However, not all types of engineering career pays this sort of enormous earnings.
A closer look at the data shows that people in the structural and civil engineering sector earn the highest annual income, and they are mostly the guys at the top echelon of management.
For example, a structural and civil engineer (top and senior levels) earns an average approximate value of R843,610 per annum ( per year).
Also, sectors such as the Finance, ICT, and Medical field followed respectively according to CareerJunction. For a specialist doctor, your earnings will far exceed the approximate annual pay of R476,000.

For example, if you work in the following sectors, you are bound to qualify for high paying salaries and satisfactory emoluments. The sectors are Architectural, software engineering, Accountancy, Petroleum engineering etc.
However, a much more explanation was revealed about the aviation sector, the challenges, entry level earnings, pilot’s earnings etc. Air traffic controllers earns approximately R583,450 annually.
A brief breakdown was revealed about the Law profession. Their earnings varies from approximately R655,000 to about R729,087 annually ( also based on experience and the sort of law profession being practiced.)
